I needed to repair some tiny wires on my granddaughters headphones that her rabbit chewed. The solderstick was the answer to fixing them. Wonderful product!
Easy and solid way to make connections. Arrived ahead of time and the communication was very good.
I needed to repair a break in a wire on my car that was in a very tight and hard to access spot. Not only did it work great, but the repair took me literally 2 minutes to do. Very pleased.
3 easy steps to a secure, waterproof connection
Simply prepare the cables and choose the right connector size for your wires.
Put items together.
Use a heat gun or simply a lighter to melt and shrink the connector tubing.
Your waterproof and secured connection is now complete
I worked in Electronics Manufacturing, Troubleshooting, and Support for over 40 years. First in the aerospace industry and then in commercial electronics. From my experience, i can tell you this is and excellent product and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to join wires simply with minimal tools.
I used one of the 10-12gauge size and three of the 14-16 gauge size when replacing the hvac fan resistor and resistor harness in my 1988 Ford F250 truck. I'm glad to have full use of my truck's heater fan now. I didn't pull hard on the completed connection, but it seemed plenty strong. I recommend these connectors.
I'm doing a lot of DIY projects for my car, bike, and some home applications. Since I saw this a while ago on a project online I wanted to give a try. These are wonderful connectors with 4 different colors which will be enough for most of the projects you are doing. Heat-shrinking is easy to use, quality is great and they are really cost-effective! I highly recommend for those who are using connectors very often.
These are AMAZAZING! They seal great using a BIC lighter. Just make sure to move the lighter back and forth never lingering in one spot for more than a second (Pretty much the same as when you're sealing any shrink tubing). I was surprised to find that the solder ring melts very uniformly every time making it look like an expert solder weld consistently. It only takes about 4 seconds of waving the lighter flame before the solder ring melts so the whole process is much faster than expected.
The ease of use has really simplified some of the electrical projects that I was working on in my boat. Really cool idea with the solder in the connector for a VERY strong connection.

Wire connectors are used to fasten two electrical wires together. The connector protects the live wire from exposed surfaces and metals. The wire connectors prevent dangerous short circuits and faults. Not to mention, wire connectors come in a lot of colors, materials, and sizes. If you are a DIY person, you must consider getting wire connectors for your project. However, while fastening wires in a wire connector; make sure that the electricity is turned off.
Making a tight electrical connector is extremely important; loose wiring can lead to overheating and fire. With wire connectors, you can make a safe and strong connection. Keep on reading to know about various types of wire connectors.
3-way wire connector:
3-way wire connectors are also known as wire splice connectors. They are double-layered tubes and have a metal ring in the middle. The outer construction of the 3-way wire connector is of plastic; once you attach a wire and turn on the electricity, the connector shrinks. It is quite easy to use a 3-way wire connector; just slide the wire from one end of the connector and connect it to the other end by twisting the wire. However, we would recommend applying heat with a heating gun. The heat will fasten the wires together.
Wire crimp connectors:
Wire crimp connectors or ring terminals are one of the best types of connectors. They connect more than two wires to a single connection. They can also serve as a circuit protection device and provide additional grip and easy installation of wires. Not to mention, they are environment-friendly and seal the wire properly. All you have to do is, make the wire go through the ring. You can use a size bolt; to properly insert the wire in the ring. The connection and disconnection both are easy when it comes to wire crimp connectors.
T-Tap wire connectors:
Insulation displacement connectors (IDC) are known as T-tap wire connectors. If you are looking for a connector that can connect your wires in a single component; T-tap wire connectors will serve the purpose. However, you need to make sure that the wire you are trying to connect has a proper current. The HVAC technicians also use T-tap wire connectors to blend two wires.
Spade connectors or spade terminals are the most beneficial electrical connector; as it is quite easy to connect the electronic object with the existing circuit. Moreover, the intense strength, heat conductivity make the product even more powerful. These connectors serve as a terminal blocker and block the irrelevant circuit. Electricians use this connector as a solution for electrical faults that damage the wires.
Yes, wire connectors are safe. They serve as a protective layer and save the wires from overheating. Moreover, when a wire goes to a connector; the connector shrinks and fastens two wires together; which prevents loss of the wire and connection.
To make a safe wire connection you must have the right supplies in your hand. A screwdriver and a wire cutter are two essentials that are important when you are making a wire connection. Moreover, make sure that you are buying the wire connector according to the type of wire that you want to fasten. Read the label; to get the information about the size.
Step 1: With the wire cutter, cut the ends of the wire.
Step 2: Install the wire connector, and arrange the wire parallel to each other and place the wire connector over the wires.
Step 3: Keep on twisting the connector until the wires present outside start to automatically twist. Make sure that all the wires are properly covered and secured.
Step 4: Extend the ends of the remaining wires beyond the solid wires. Bend the wires for a screw connection. Wrap the wires in a clockwise direction so that all ends are properly covered.
Step 5: Cut off the old wire ends; before reconnecting the wire.
Step 6: Tug on the wires when you are done with the connection. Attach the connector to a power outlet.
Add wire connectors to your electrician’s toolbox; as they are indeed a good invention. Moreover, with a wire connector; there is no need to call an electrician for minor issues. You can easily make a connection with the wires.
