Remove the Coax Connector Professionally

COAXIAL CABLE: WHAT ARE THEY USED FOR?

Coaxial cable is a type of copper cable specially built with a metal shield and other components engineered to block signal interference. It is primarily used by cable TV companies to connect their satellite antenna facilities to customer homes and businesses.

This type of cable connector is usually essential for transmitting radio frequency signals. If your existing connector has gone faulty or you want to replace your connector with another one, you’ll have to remove the existing one, thus requiring this process.

How can you do it? We’ll share it in this article how to remove the coax connector professionally:

  1. Disconnect the coaxial cable from the gadget it is attached.
  2. You’ll find a connector nut (metallic) at the termination point of the wire.
  3. Rotate this nut to remove the connector from the cable. You might not be able to do it as such. So you can use pliers for this purpose.
  4. Now your coaxial cable will be loose. Take it out from the connector keeping the direction of the hand straight. Any bending at this stage might damage the wire, and you wouldn’t want that.
  5. Once you have the wire, keep it straight in front of you. Put the wire cutters at an angle of 90-degree; snap the wires from just behind the connector. The connection between the coaxial cable and your connector has been removed.

SUMMING UP:

The process of disconnecting the coaxial cable from the connector is straightforward. Just follow the procedure above and you can do it in minutes.
