Begin by stripping away approximately ⅓-inch of insulation from both ends of the wires you plan to connect.
This exposes the bare copper conductors, which will be inserted into the terminal.
Next, select a heat shrink terminal that is the appropriate size for your wires. Ensure a snug fit for optimal performance and insulation.
Insert the stripped wire ends into the corresponding sides of the bullet connector.
Ensure the wires are fully seated in the connector barrels. Double-check that the wires are secure and that no bare wire is exposed outside the connector.
Using a heat gun, apply heat evenly around the connector tubing.
This will melt and shrink the tubing, forming a tight seal around the wires.
Keep the heat gun moving to avoid overheating in any one spot. Allow the terminal to cool down completely before handling it to ensure the connection and insulation are firm.
