As someone who relies on my car every day—to get to work, pick up my kids, and run errands—I’ve always kept a close eye on our family’s fuel expenses. But lately, the rising gas prices have made it harder than ever to stay on budget.

Last week, I pulled up to the pump and nearly choked—$120 just to fill up my tank. And that was already my second fill-up that week. At this rate, I was burning through hundreds of dollars on gas every month, and I knew it wasn’t sustainable.

For my family, driving isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. Between commuting, school drop-offs, and weekend trips, cutting back just wasn’t an option. But with gas prices climbing higher every month, I started wondering—how much worse could it get?
